IT Security

Keep your
business protected,
at all times

At Euro Systems we’ve been providing IT Security for businesses across Scotland. We know that even a small gap in your security can leave a business vulnerable to malicious attacks. We work closely with our customers to carry out comprehensive audits and detect areas that need protection, to implement appropriate measures and solutions.

Basic layers of security can fall short. We go beyond standard antivirus protection, firewall and encryption methods, to carefully analyse all potential risks and find the most effective solutions to safeguard organisations.

Data protection is a top priority for every business. We can help with some of the most common security risks, including out-of-date or inefficient security software, unsecured passwords, unsafe employee access to networks and critical accounts, and more.

Full Security Audit

With a full security assessment and strategic analysis, we focus on identifying gaps in security for our customers, and employ solutions to protect them against potential risks

Automatic Updates

Out-of-date security software is a common problem that leaves businesses vulnerable. We take care of frequent and automatic updates, license renewals and all other system checks, to ensure uninterrupted security and protection.

Secure Firewall Systems

As much as 94% of malware is delivered via email, and phishing attacks account for over 80% of security incidents. Our IT audit includes a full review of your firewall security, to make sure your organisation and employees can stay protected.

Ransomware Detection

Recovery Assurance uses cloud-based monitoring and predictive analytics to help you detect ransomware before it’s too late. Machine learning provides early alerts of suspicious data change rates in your environment. Then Unitrends backup appliances help you quickly restore back to safety, without paying a penny of ransom.

End-to-End Encryption

We can make sure all data is protected by encryption whilst in transit, in the cloud and at rest. Users have the option to encrypt data locally, and passphrases can be specified per appliance or per protected machine.

Multi-factor authentication (MFA)

Passwords are not secure and can be easily compromised. We can enable MFA (or 2FA) to immediately increase security and ensure that your accounts are up to 99.9% less likely to be compromised. MFA helps to protect your organisation against breaches due to lost or stolen credentials.

The importance of staying protected

All businesses, no matter how big or how small, are at risk of ransomware attacks and cybersecurity threats. With the amount of critical data and sensitive information out there, there is too much at stake for companies.

According to the latest figures from the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO), 37% of companies reported a data breach incident between 2019 and 2020. Other reports have shown that, every day, around 65,000 attempts to SMEs and SMBs occur in the UK every day, and around 4,500 of them are successful.

Nowadays, cyber security is a MUST for business owners across all industry sectors.

How to improve your cyber security

Data breaches and malicious attacks can damage your business, and they can be incredibly costly. Security assessments can help your organisation to identify gaps and risks, and flag issues that need attention to keep your business prepared.

Working with Euro Systems as your trusted IT partner, we can take care of the worries and the hassle of securing your IT systems and infrastructure. We can implement measures to identify risks and vulnerabilities, and design a roadmap for security improvement.

Our network security risk assessments are designed to the specific needs of our customers, but we focus on a few steps:

We take a look at the current system setup, to understand weaknesses and detect potential risks. We focus on getting insights from customers to learn about areas where they feel vulnerable, or any past threats they may have experienced. This step usually involves an IT audit of internal processes, including password management and firewall security.

Once we have analysed the current setup, we scan vulnerabilities and flag the risks, in order to provide strategic advice. We recommend solutions to customers based on their specific needs, circumstances, and budget.

After going through evaluation and recommendations, we implement improvements for strengthening security systems. We take into account business goals, and work closely with clients to come up with the best solutions, and design a plan for action that works for our customer.

When it comes to security, we know it doesn’t end in a simple deployment. Depending on what works best for our customers and their objectives, we can schedule simulated cyber attacks, and regular scanning to test for vulnerabilities. We come up with a plan to secure the organisation for good; to mitigate risks, and stay protected against attacks.
