How it works

Our offsite backup software runs a fully automated daily offsite and online backup of your important files and data. The first time the backup is run a full copy will be made to our secure server from the selected files. If there is a vast amount of data our support team may take a local copy rather than than trying to push huge amounts of data across the internet.

The diagram below shows an overview of the data flow.

Offsite Backup

After encryption and compression these are sent to our offsite servers for safe storage.

After the initial backup, a daily (incremental) backup will be made of all new and changed files.

This is done at a time of day determined by you, and usually outside of working hours. After each backup our support time (and you) will receive an e-mail notification with a detailed report of your backup. If our servers didn't receive your scheduled backup you'll be notified.

The backup is configured to retain copies of files for 30 days, so if you accidentally delete a file it can easily be recovered.

Your data is stored in a secure location and encrypted.
